Fall Break: Residence Halls will remain OPEN for Fall Break (Thursday 9/28 & Friday 9/29) although Dining Services will be limited.
Thanksgiving Break: Residence Halls will CLOSE for Thanksgiving Break on Wednesday, November 22nd at 9:00 am and will REOPEN Sunday, November 26th at 12:00 pm.
Winter Break: Students should depart campus within 24 hours of their last final exam or by Saturday, December 9th at 9:00 am, whichever comes first. Residence Halls close 12/9 @ 9:00 am. You must return your room key at the end of the semester!
Spring 2024 Housing Applications- If you are a new student/transfer student for the Spring 2024 semester, the Housing Portal will open on Monday, October 30th, 2023 to complete your housing application.
Need to Submit a Work Order? Contact your RA and they can submit one on your behalf! The maintenance department processes work orders Monday-Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
Fall 2024/Spring 2025 Housing Applications- The Housing Portal will open on Wednesday, March 21st, 2024 to begin accepting housing applications for the 2024-2025 Academic Year. If you have any additional questions, please email wisehousing@uvawise.edu.

New students (freshmen, transfers & readmits) complete a 3-step Orientation process prior to enrolling at UVA Wise:
Signup invitation emails are sent to the personal email of all confirmed students. After signup, all information is sent ONLY to the UVA Wise email, so be sure to check if often and regularly.

All new UVA Wise freshmen (residential & commuter) will participate in Expedition on Sunday before classes begin each fall. This students-only event provides a full-day of interaction and fun to give you additional timely information for a successful start to your first semester at UVA Wise. You will participate as a team of fellow students led by an upperclass Expedition Leader (EL).
