Fall 2024/Spring 2025 Housing Applications: The Housing Portal will open for returning students on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 to begin accepting housing applications for the 2024-2025 Academic Year. New student applications will be available as of Friday, March 29, 2024. Assignment for those applied by April 12, 2024 will be process the week of April 15-29, 2024. Summer 2024 Housing Applications: The Housing Portal will open Wednesday, March 27, 2024 to begin accepting housing applications for the 2024 Summer Terms.
Fall 2024 Break: Residence Halls will remain OPEN for Fall Break Thursday, September 26, 2024 through Sunday, September 29, 2024. NOTE that Dining Services will be limited.
Thanksgiving 2024 Break: Residence Halls will CLOSE for Thanksgiving Break on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 9:00 am and will REOPEN Sunday, December 1, 2024 at 12:00 pm. There will be no Dining Services during break.
Winter 2024 Break: Students should depart campus within 24 hours of their last final exam or by Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 12:00 pm, whichever comes first.
Spring 2025 Housing Applications: If you are a new student/transfer student for the Spring 2025 semester, the Housing Portal will open on Monday, October 28, 2024 to complete your housing application.
Need to Submit a Work Order? Contact your RA and they can submit one on your behalf! The maintenance department processes work orders Monday-Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.

New students (freshmen, transfers & readmits) complete a 3-step Orientation process prior to enrolling at UVA Wise:
Signup invitation emails are sent to the personal email of all confirmed students. After signup, all information is sent ONLY to the UVA Wise email, so be sure to check if often and regularly.

All new UVA Wise freshmen (residential & commuter) will participate in Expedition on Sunday before classes begin each fall. This students-only event provides a full-day of interaction and fun to give you additional timely information for a successful start to your first semester at UVA Wise. You will participate as a team of fellow students led by an upperclass Expedition Leader (EL).
