Have you updated your contact information for the Emergency Alert System?  UVa-Wise has implemented an emergency alert notification system to notify our campus community about a crisis or emergency situations.  Also, College closures and schedule changes will use the same contact information.   It is quick, easy and FREE!

Winter Break Closing Information

Residence Halls close for Winter Break at 9am on Saturday, December 16. Halls reopen on Sunday, January 7 at 9am. View the complete Winter Break Newsletter here.

Highlights:

Residents must return their room key to their community office prior to leaving for winter break (you can pick your key back up in January).

Only international students and those students with official-college business will be permitted to stay during break. Complete the stay over break request form and return it to the housing office by Wednesday, December 13. The form is available in both the Housing Office and online at www.uvawise.edu/reslife.

If you are not returning to UVa-Wise for the Spring 2018 semester, please stop by the housing office and complete the Release from Housing Form. You will also need to remove all your belongings and return your key to the community office before you leave.

Room Changes

SPRING 2018 ROOM CHANGES BEGIN MONDAY, JANUARY 15

Changes must be made in person from 8am-noon or 1pm-5pm in the Housing & Residence Life Office located on the lower level of Cantrell Hall.

All room changes will be made on a first come, first serve basis. We cannot hold rooms.

Private rooms can be declared at this time if space is available. No one will be allowed to move into a room by themselves without paying for a private room. The fee for a private room is $750 per semester.

Once a room change is granted, you will have 24 hours to completely move out of your old room and move into your new room.

SPRING 2018 PAYMENT

 

Spring 2018 Payment Due by January 8, 2018.  Non-Paid will be dropped Tuesday, January 16, 2018.  If you register on or after January 8, 2018, payment is due at time of registration.

 

Payment Plan information will be posted at a later date.

 

 

 

PLEASE CHECK the Financial Aid tab above to see if there are documents missing to complete your financial aid file.  We cannot process your file until all required documents have been turned in.   (If one of your required documents contains the words "Office Use Only" please come to the Financial Aid Office and request a Deferment if you have not already done so.
